Training options
An introduction to Lithuanian Pirtis (£85)
Tuesday 4th March | 14:00-18:30
In this workshop you will experience a traditional Lithuanian Pirtis (sauna) session, an introduction to self whisking and using natural products to enhance the experience and create body treatments.
This is the first workshop in the Level 1 Sauna Master training so is ideal for anyone who is thinking of delving deeper into sauna practice but also serves as a standalone fun and informative sauna session. If you then decide to book the full Level 1 course in the future, you will not need to do this session again and receive a *discount to the full training.
Level 1 Sauna Master Training (£495)
Tuesday 4th - Thursday 6th March - There are two time options for this course:
This is a 3 day introductory course of healthy sauna basics and an introduction to whisking; suitable for people with limited sauna experience or more regular sauna goers who would like to develop their skills and whisking techniques to use on friends, family, develop a sauna therapy practice or to extend your offerings in your own sauna space. This training incorporates theory and practical lessons in steam, different whisking techniques and the benefits, leaf whisking massage and bodywork.
There are two time options for this course:
Group A - Predominantly mornings
Tuesday 14:00-18:30pm Wednesday & Thursday 10am-2:30pm
Group B - Predominantly afternoons
Tuesday 2PM-6:30pm, Wednesday & Thursday 1pm-6:30pm
Level 2 Sauna Master Training (£625)
Mon 10 - Wed 12 March
This is a 3 day advanced course suitable for people who have previously completed the Level 1 Sauna Master Training and are now looking to delve deeper into the magic of sauna and whisking practices. You will be focusing on making and using in-sauna beauty treatments, full body classical whisking and whisking a group which is useful for offering rituals, celebrations and fun sessions.
Throughout the course, you’ll learn the cornerstone techniques of classic sauna therapy:
- Two-Sided Body Whisking: Master the traditional, safe, and ergonomic sequence for whisking both sides of the body.
- Natural Body Scrub and Skin Peeling: Create your own all-natural scrubs and practice full-body cleansing for skin care.
On the final day, you'll bring together everything you’ve learned, leading a holistic sauna treatment designed for a small group. This experience is essential, as almost 90% of custom sauna sessions involve working with small groups.
Here's an overview of the hands-on sessions:
Day 1: Full Classical Whisking - 10:00 - 18:00
Learn the technique to whisk both sides of the body with safety and precision.
Day 2: Home Spa Techniques -10:00 - 18:00
Discover the art of making natural body scrubs and practicing full-body cleansing.
Day 3: Group practice and whisking workshop - 10:00 - 14:00
Wrap up the course by conducting a traditional pirtis ritual, focusing on all the essential elements for a rich, communal steam bath experience.
By the end of this intensive course, you’ll be equipped to confidently deliver transformative sauna experiences, whether working one-on-one or with small groups.
You will receive a Certificate for all training from the International Bath Academy. These courses include theory.
